New Privileges!

I just came  - and I was out alone.  Yup, all by myself.  Now that I am feeling better and not contagious, I'm allowed to have access to all the difference fenced areas.  I get to walk on a leash in the big fields, too, but that's a story for another day.

Anyway -  now I am allowed to be free at night, when the other dogs are sleeping.  The FM turns on all the outside lights and I run around like a madman, checking all the smells, reading my p-mail, etc.  In fact, tonight I went out once for almost half an hour (the first few minutes, the FM has to come with me, so that I can go to my usual poop spot - I'm very neat and always return to the same spot) and then when I came in I had my cheese (yes, I have a slice of American cheese each night before I go to sleep) and snuggled up with her on the couch.  A few minutes later, I heard something making a noise outside, so I insisted on going out again.  A guy has to protect his family, you know.   I spent about 15 minutes checking all the spots outside where a dangerous beast could hide, and when I was sure all was well, I came inside and here I am, blogging right before I go to sleep.

This morning, I noticed a big herd of deer off in one of the fields.  They were just grazing, so I didn't mind them much.  But, as I was going through the gate into my own special field, I saw a big deer running down at the lower end.  I took off like lightning, and I jumped so high when I hit that fence that I almost went right over.  The FM was left standing by the gate, in shock.  She didn't think I could possibly run THAT fast, nor did she think that I'd do it with my long leather leash flopping around and tangling itself around my legs.  Thanks, Tank, for reminding me of my responsibilities back when I was feeling weak and scared and sorry for myself.  Not anymore - I am a real Bullmastiff again!

See how much better my face is?!?!?!

  2. Magee..
perhaps you need a cape... it does sound as if you fly... remember though... leashes can trip you so don't take off when you have a leash on especially if your going to fly... low power lines and stuff that may get tangled up and yank you right out of the sky..
