I'm Feeling Better Today!

I don't know if it was the change in my antibiotics, or if my cold has finally begun to go away, but I am definitely feeling better today.

I spent over an hour outside this morning, and was happy to do so - the FM put two coats on me so that I wouldn't get a chill.  She was busy disinfecting everything in my room, which she's tried to do pretty much every day but this morning I was finally well enough to be outside, and I wasn't sneezing all over when I was inside.  She was happy....you know how moms are about keeping things clean.

Here I am doing my favorite thing- eating leaves!

Then I came inside and the FM nearly fainted - she couldn't believe it - for the FIRST TIME since I've been here, I sat down.   I don't know why I never did it before, but I did it today!

I ate all of my lunch, and went out twice more this afternoon!  It was such a nice day, and I was actually having some fun.  The FM and I ran around and chased each other and then I saw some dangerous critters (deer) and I zoomed right over to the fence to warn them off.   I'm taking Tank's advice and making myself indispensable as the resident guard dog, and I have a ferocious bark!  Those deer took right off, white tails racing off into the woods.  I am supremely satisfied!

I'm working hard at honing all my very important Bullmastiff skills so that I'm all set to move to my new home once I get the go-ahead from my doctor.   The FM thinks I'll be well enough to have my face and eyes done in just a couple of weeks, so I'll be starting my serch for the perfect family pretty soon.   Tank and Magoo both said sometimes it takes a while to find exactly the right family, but that it's OK to be here with the FM and FD for as long as it takes - they won't let me go until everything is perfect, just like ME!   hope it's soon though.  I want to be somebody's special dog and not have to share everything with all the other dogs who live here.  It's time for me to be important, right?  I spent a lot of years waiting for this day to come.

TGIF - though it's supposed to rain this weekend - BLEH.  At least it's not snowing.

Love, Magee

  1. Tank here. Man, that's a really nice red jacket. Must be a Guido Sarducci. Magee, you get a GIANT AT-A-BOY from me for chasing away those pesky deer. They eat all the good stuff and leave droppings everywhere. You truly are a great bullmastiff in every way. Continue feeling better and we'll have lunch together soon. Your Pal, Tank
