Happy Saturday!

Today was an awesome day.  I volunteered to go outside and I plopped down in my field in the sunshine (on a blanket of course) and had a lovely morning, listening to the songbirds and enjoying the warm weather and light breeze.  I got another new bone today, and that's always a cause for celebration too. 

The FM noted that while I am still coughing and sneezing, I seem to feel dramatically better.  I'm snarfing down all of my meals and looking for more, and she thinks I've gained another pound since yesterday!  My ears are getting better, my face isn't so swollen, and my ears are looking decent. 

What made her the happiest FM in the universe today, though, was that I ran around and play-bowed and jumped on her when she got my leash off the hook!  I also sat down a few times, and laid flat out when I got tired from chewing my bones - another first.  She thinks I'm starting to feel very much at home now, and I'm losing that nervous energy that kept me going the first week or so.   I think she's right! 

She said once I stop coughing and sneezing, I'll be allowed to have the whole downstairs to myself because I'm such a reliable and trustworthy houseguest.  The only reason I can't do that now is because I'm still a little messy with my cold, but I'm slowly getting over that too. 

Look for the last picture - it's from the day I was rescued - I couldn't even open my eyes, they were so sore and swollen.  So was the rest of my face!

(and yes, Tank, my red coat is a Guido Sarducci original - we love SNL here - the FM always leaves NBC on for me overnight so I can watch stuff before I go to bed!)
